Amy Mos, MD

Dr. Amy Mos is a proud Plano native who attended the Booker T. Washington High School for the Performing and Visual Arts and then graduated from Plano Senior High School. She completed her Bachelor of Arts degree at the University of Texas at Austin with a full academic National Merit Scholarship. She obtained her medical degree at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center where she graduated third in her class. She then moved back to Dallas for residency at Parkland Memorial Hospital. She was awarded outstanding resident by the Southwest Gynecologic Society. Since then she has had the privilege of practicing Ob/Gyn with the most respected all female practice in Collin County, Plano Womens Healthcare.

Dr. Mos was drawn to Ob/Gyn as a specialty by the thrill of delivering babies, but also by the reward of developing long term patient-physician relationships that are formed over years by caring for women as unique individuals throughout all stages of their lives. Dr. Mos believes in the importance of mutual and informed decision making between doctor and patient. She has always found that the best care of each patient can only be obtained when they have been fully educated and the plan of care is a mutual decision. Dr. Mos also appreciates that pregnancy can be an especially nerve wracking time for many women and does her best to put them at ease throughout their pregnancies and deliveries. She has been voted DFW Child Mom-Approved Doctor, D Magazine Best Doctors in Collin County, and Texas Monthly Super Doctors.

Her particular areas of interest are high risk obstetrics, hormone optimization both pre and postmenopause, and minimally invasive robotic surgery. She understands the importance of staying current on best practices in medicine and spends much of her free time reading medical journals and listening to Ob/gyn related podcasts.

When not at work Dr. Mos enjoys spending time with her husband, Danny, and her two children, Sophie, and Dylan. Her happy place is curled up in bed with her dog, Jojo and cats, Teddy and Hope, reading a good thriller.
