In essence, the da Vinci™ Surgery System utilizes the latest technology and robotic arms. The robotic arms can be used by the surgeon and offer more flexibility, precision, and dexterity than human hands.
The surgeon is seated at a surgeon console, where they can easily manipulate the robotic arms of the da Vinci™ Surgery System. The da Vinci™ Surgery System also uses a high-definition 3D camera so that the surgeon can easily see what they are doing and address any issues that may arise. This optimized visibility has greatly enhanced the surgical outcomes of our female patients who need Robotic Surgery.
The other two components of the da Vinci™ Surgery System are a patient-side cart and a vision cart. As its name indicates, the patient-side cart is close to the patient and has the instruments that are being manipulated by the surgeon at the surgeon console. Finally, the vision cart is what enables integrated communication and allows the surgical team to closely monitor the operation as it takes place.
