Arlene Jacobs, MD

Dr. Jacobs was raised in Miami, Florida with a strong family influence. She attended Tulane University for her undergraduate degree and then continued on at Tulane for medical school. She finally became a Texan when she started her residency at Parkland/UT Southwestern in Dallas and met her husband, Allen. They formed a wonderful family of two sons and a daughter. She quickly adopted the Texas way and is a die hard supporter of the Dallas Cowboys! She also loves spending time with her family, traveling with her husband and friends, and spending time at the beach.

She is the senior partner, establishing PWHC in 1989 and developing a practice of women physicians taking care of women and helping them from adolescence through menopause. After 30+ years of practice, her greatest achievements, besides her family, are the developments of long-term relationships with her patients. A strong focus of her practice includes Robotic Surgery and Pelvic Floor Therapy and treatment, including all forms of incontinence and pelvic support issues. Her love for obstetrics, including helping those with recurrent pregnancy loss and infertility, gives her great satisfaction and joy. Her past 15 years has focused on peri and postmenopausal women and helping them achieve quality of life, improve their health, and their extend their longevity through bio-identical hormones, nutraceuticals, and healthy eating and exercise.

In 2021, Dr. Jacobs was honored to have her daughter, Dr. Feltman, join Plano Women’s Healthcare. Dr. Jacobs feels so fortunate to be able to share her passion for taking care of women with her daughter.
