Juliana Lopez-Klein is a board-certified Obstetrician and Gynecologist that prides herself on
providing compassionate and comprehensive care for women of all ages at Plano Women’s Healthcare.
Dr. Lopez-Klein is a native of South Florida and fluent in English and Spanish. She completed her
undergraduate education at Duke University receiving Bachelor of Science degrees in Neuroscience and
Biology. She then attended University of Illinois at Chicago College of Medicine where she was
honored with the Gold Humanism Award. After earning her medical degree, she successfully couples
matched with her husband and completed her OB/GYN residency at the University of Miami/Jackson
Memorial Hospital.
During her time there, Dr. Lopez-Klein presented her research on minimally
invasive robotic surgery at various national conferences and was appointed Chief Resident. Dr.
Lopez-Klein is the recipient of the Society of Laparoendoscopic Surgeons Resident Achievement
Award
for her outstanding minimally invasive surgical skills. Following residency, she joined the
faculty
of the University of Miami as an associate professor for two years before moving to Dallas and
joining the Plano Women’s Healthcare team.
Dr Lopez-Klein provides obstetrics and gynecology care to women of all ages, from adolescence
through the postmenopausal years. She specializes in preventative care, in general gynecological
evaluation, and in the management of reproductive health, including family planning,
infertility,
pregnancy, childbirth and menopause. She has extensive training in minimally invasive surgery
for
women who struggle with fibroids, endometriosis, ovarian cysts and other gynecologic conditions.
She
offers comprehensive care for low and high risk pregnancies as well as postpartum care.
In her free time, Dr. Lopez enjoys spending time with her husband and three daughters. She loves
traveling, reading, relaxing at the beach and playing with her lab Millie and terrier Nutello.
